British design, Italian made
Since our launch in 2008, Elegante has created premium hosiery to our own tailored specifications. Every pair is carefully crafted in Italy across three specialist factories, for consistent quality, comfort and style.
Today Elegante is sold in the United Kingdom, the EU, America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and trusted by airlines, cruise lines, hospitality and luxury retail.

Frequently asked questions
How much is UK delivery?
Delivery is free on UK orders over £40. Orders placed before 12:00 on a working day are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 12:00 are dispatched the following working day, and weekend orders are dispatched on Monday. Most deliveries are handled by Royal Mail and typically arrive within 24 to 48 hours.
What is your returns policy?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery, provided items are unused, unopened and in their original packaging. Worn or opened items cannot be returned for hygiene reasons unless they are faulty. We can arrange collection for a £9.95 fee, or you can return items yourself using a tracked service at no charge. Faulty or incorrectly delivered items will be fully refunded, including return postage costs. Use our returns form to request a return.
What does denier mean?
Denier describes the weight of the yarn used in tights. The lower the denier, the finer and more sheer the tights. Our range runs from 15 denier sheer, through 30 denier semi-opaque, to 50 and 60 denier opaque.
How do I choose my size?
Our women's sizes run from S to XL and are based on your hip measurement and height. The Ultimate BodyToner, Ultimate Soft Shine, Ultimate Bodyshaper and Essentials 50D Opaque are generously sized, while Classic Shine is smaller than average.
What sizes do girls' tights come in?
Our girls' tights are sized by age, from 7 to 8 years up to 11 to 12 years, depending on the style.

Elegante designs women’s and girls’ tights in Britain and has them made in Italy. Our range covers sheer tights, semi-opaque tights, opaque tights and shaping tights, from 15 to 60 denier.
Sheer and gloss tights
Our 15 denier styles give a fine, sheer finish, from the high gloss of Classic Shine and Essentials Gloss to the softer sheen of Ultimate Soft Shine. For a smoother silhouette, the Ultimate BodyToner adds a supportive shaping brief to a sheer gloss leg.
Semi-opaque and opaque tights
Choose 30 denier semi-opaque tights for more coverage with a soft sheen, or 50 denier opaque tights in our Essentials range and the Ultimate Bodyshaper, which has a built-in shaping brief.
Girls’ and school tights
Our girls’ tights are sized by age, from 7 to 12 years, with sheer gloss styles for parties and occasions and hard-wearing 60 denier opaque tights for school.
